ABSTRACT
RESUMEN Introducción: la determinación de la actividad de la artritis reumatoide es importante para estimar de manera objetiva el nivel de control de la enfermedad y orientar la terapéutica. Objetivos: determinar el nivel de actividad de la artritis reumatoide mediante el DAS 28 en pacientes ambulatorios del Hospital Nacional. Métodos: se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo de corte transversal donde se incluyó a 82 pacientes ambulatorios con diagnóstico de artritis reumatoide del Hospital Nacional. Se midieron variables objetivas con el valor de la eritrosedimentación, el número de articulaciones tumefactas, variables subjetivas como el número de articulaciones dolorosas y la valoración global de la salud estimada por el paciente. Resultados: la edad estuvo comprendida de 19 a 74 años con una media de 49 ± 13 años. El 81% fue del sexo femenino y 56% se dedicaba a los que haceres domésticos. El nivel de actividad fue moderado en 45% y 31% presentaban remisión. Conclusión: el nivel de actividad de los pacientes con artritis reumatoidea en los pacientes ambulatorios fue moderado en 45% y 31% en remisión.
ABSTRACT Introduction: The determination of the activity of rheumatoid arthritis is important to objectively estimate the level of control of the disease and guide the treatment. Objectives: To determine the activity level of rheumatoid arthritis using the DAS 28 in outpatients of the Hospital Nacional. Methods: An observational, descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out including 82 outpatients with a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis from the Hospital Nacional. Objective variables were measured using the erythrocyte sedimentation value and the number of swollen joints, as well as subjective variables such as the number of painful joints and the overall health assessment estimated by the patient. Results: The age ranged from 19 to 74 years with a mean of 49 ± 13 years, 81% were female and 56% were engaged in domestic tasks. The activity level was moderate in 45% and 31% presented remission. Conclusion: The activity level of rheumatoid arthritis patients in outpatients was moderate in 45% and 31% in remission.
